~a blog about looking through scripture's lens at life and love. ~a place to journal my chronological study of God's Word in the hope that someday my children's children will be entertained by what's funny, encouraged by what's challenging, and exhorted by what's gospel.
and occasionally, I'm gonna sneak in a post about other interesting stuff. Welcome to my celebration of cerebrations!

Reborn~
Like living fireworks, God's magnificent spring display mirrors the picture of resurrection. Twigs flower, bulbs bloom, He lives!
Wow! My hope is to resume transcribing the chronological Bible study I have been intermittently posting for the last few years in the next two weeks-- as well as the occasional "other stuff" (i.e. rambling and ranting!) so please stay tuned.
I'm grateful (and honestly a little surprised) when I discover that anyone other than relatives and the people I bribe check out this blog. Thank you!!
Regarding the random tweet you asked about, it was a response to all of the ecstatic tweeting when the Supreme Court's decision on the health care bill was handed down. I consider myself an America loving patriot, but I grieve for a nation whose citizenry would erroneously place their hope in a government's policies to the degree that it appeared to be happening. I believe that there are so many reasons to celebrate this nation and I am thankful every day that I was privileged to have been born in the land of the free and home of the brave--but it's not my home in the eternal sense, so I was just throwing my perspective into the fray.
Happy Independence Day, and again, thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement.

I miss your writing! Occasionally I will go on twitter to see what the buzz is and looked in on your feed.
If you have the opportunity along with the inclination, I would love to read your thoughts on this tweet:
"try as it may, the government will NEVER be my savior."
I know there is something behind it, but I have no clear idea of what!
Happy Fourth!
